It is Holy Week, and the perfect time for a fun activity with your kids! This week, we are making Resurrection Gardens. This is a great hands on way to teach the Resurrection story to your children.
Materials Needed:
-shallow container
-dirt
-6 twigs
-twine
-small pot
-tea candle
-small pebbles/rocks
-1 large rock
-bulbs or plants of your choice
-moss
To make:
1. spread the dirt evenly across the container
2. attach the twine to the twigs to make 3 crosses and stick them in the dirt
3. set the pot (for the tomb) on the side in the dirt
4. put the tea candle inside the pot]
5. plant a few bulbs or plants of your choice around
6. set some stones as a path leading to the tomb
7. spread moss over the plants and dirt
8. roll the stone in front of the pot, and then when you roll it away turn the candle on to show that Jesus has resurrected
