A SOAR Unit engages students by captivating their attention with stimulating activities that include multiple academic disciplines. Student progress will SOAR!
In this highly engaging unit, students will discover just how incredible shells are and will inspire them to take note of the environment around them. This unit includes 10 lesson plans that have 1 content specific learning target and 1 reading/language arts learning target per lesson. Each lesson comes with a reading activity with test prep thinking skill questions and a hands-on stimulating opportunity for students.
Additionally, the unit includes real photographs of the different kinds of shells that are discussed in the unit and an accompanying slideshow to be used throughout the lessons.
Students will not only review important language arts skills throughout this unit, but will learn about the importance of shells in our ecosystem and why there are so many colorful and different shell types! What kid doesn’t love shells?!
